WEATHER ALERTS

Understanding Lombardy weather alert colours

An official alert describes potential risk over an area and time window. It is not the same thing as a forecast for one exact point.

Yellow

Yellow generally indicates ordinary criticality: potentially significant local effects are possible and deserve attention.

Orange

Orange indicates a more significant criticality and a higher potential for widespread or severe effects.

Red

Red represents the highest criticality level and requires maximum attention to official instructions.

Alert versus local forecast

An alert can cover a broad warning zone while your exact location is dry at a given moment. Use official alerts for risk awareness and local observations and forecasts for immediate weather context.

Safety note

Como Lake Weather is an information service. For warnings, emergencies and safety decisions always consult Civil Protection, Regione Lombardia and the competent authorities.
